What is walk and talk therapy for parents?

Parenting a teenager through anxiety can feel like walking a tightrope - trying to support them without pushing too hard, while managing your own worries in the background.

These walk and talk sessions give you a quiet space to reflect, gather your thoughts, and explore gentle, practical ways to support your teen.

We’ll look at what’s already working, build on your strengths as a parent, and uncover small shifts that might bring more ease and connection at home.

It’s about helping you feel steadier - so you can help them feel the same. If your child or teenager is struggling with anxiety, it can be hard to know how best to help - especially when you’re trying to hold everything else together too.

Walk and talk sessions offer you, as the parent, a calm space to reflect, recharge, and explore what might support your child more effectively.

We’ll look at what’s already helping, uncover small, manageable changes, and build your confidence in how you respond.

Sometimes, just having the space to think things through can make all the difference - for you and for them. Support your anxious teen by first giving yourself space to reflect.

In 2–4 calming walk and talk sessions, we’ll use the Solution Focused Brief Therapy approach to explore what’s working, uncover practical strategies, and help you feel steadier as a parent - so you can help them feel the same.
